A Classic '70s Guild Returns
Guild brings back an iconic 1970s guitar with the Bluesbird solidbody electric guitar. The carved maple top looks sweet while also providing comfortable contours. And speaking of comfort, the mahogany body is chambered for lighter weight (and it also enhances the resonance). This modern classic is equipped with a pair of Seymour Duncan humbuckers, a TonePros locking bridge and stopbar tailpiece, and Grover Sta-Tite tuning machines, for performance you can count on. And with a comfortable vintage U-shaped neck, the Guild Bluesbird aims to please a new generation of players.
A player-proven pickup combination from Seymour Duncan
The Guild Bluesbird guitar is equipped with a Seymour Duncan '59 SH-1 humbucker at the neck position and a JB SH-4 humbucker at the bridge. This is an extremely popular pickup combination that allows you to cover everything from smooth, wooly warm tones to biting high-output leads. Many guitarists at Sweetwater use this pickup combination on at least one of their guitars, and once you plug this guitar into your favorite amplifier and do some sonic exploration, we think you'll be a fan too.
Vintage-feeling neck gives this '70s classic a familiar feel
While it's based on the original M-75 Bluesbird (the solidbody partner to the M-75 Aristocrat), the modern Guild Bluesbird packs a Vintage Soft U-shaped neck. And the 10-inch fretboard radius offers a familiar platform for fans of classic single-cutaways solidbody electric guitars.
High-quality appointments for great performance
On top of great looks and tone, the Guild Bluesbird sports high-quality features that promise years of reliable performance. For example, the binding on the rosewood fretboard not only looks great but also adds an ultra-smooth playing feel. And Grover Sta-Tite die-cast tuners offer exceptional tuning stability and precision.
