Stunning Prestige Playability

The Ibanez RGR652AHBF RG Prestige solidbody electric guitar was created to be a supremely playable, great-sounding instrument. The ash RG body gives the guitar a strong treble response, and you'll love the feel of the fast, 5-piece maple/walnut Super Wizard HP neck. The RGR652AHBF RG Prestige uses DiMarzio Fusion Edge humbuckers to push your amp for crunchy rhythms while remaining incredibly tight-sounding. Get your hands on this RGR652AHBF RG Prestige, and find out how far it can take your playing.

Incredibly fast Super Wizard HP neck

Ibanez Wizard necks are thin and built for speed, and they enable effortless playability and comfort. The RGR652AHBF RG Prestige takes that design to the next level with its 5-piece maple/walnut Super Wizard HP neck. You'll execute lightning-fast runs, arpeggios, and hammer-ons with ease. Capping the Super Wizard neck is a bound 24-fret maple fretboard loaded with jumbo frets that are perfect for big note bends.

RG playability with fixed-bridge stability

While you may expect to see a vibrato tailpiece on an Ibanez RG, the RGR652AHBF sports a Gibraltar Standard II fixed bridge — a dream come true if you prefer a hardtail axe. Sweetwater guitarists love the Gibraltar Standard II's extreme low profile, which offers the comfort of a traditional RG floating trem with the exceptional stability and reliability you can only get from a fixed bridge. If you've always wanted an RG-series guitar but prefer not to mess with a floating bridge, the RGR652AHBF was made just for you.

Fusion Edge humbuckers: made for metal

The Fusion Edge humbucking pickups on the RGR652AHBF are the result of a collaboration between Ibanez and noted pickup maker DiMarzio. Designed for down-tuned metal, Fusion Edge pickups deliver a powerful scooped sound with tight, compressed bass response and crisp high-end articulation — ideal for bludgeoning djent chugs and high-speed staccato riffing. The RGR652AHBF's DiMarzio Fusion Edge pickups give you the aggressive yet precise tone that modern metal guitarists need.

Ibanez RGR652AHBF RG Prestige Solidbody Electric Guitar Features:

  • Distinctive ash RG body
  • Lightning-fast Super Wizard HP Prestige neck
  • 5-piece maple/walnut neck with 24 jumbo frets and Prestige fret-edge treatment
  • DiMarzio Fusion Edge humbucking pickups serve up aggressive tone
  • Rock-solid Gibraltar Standard II fixed bridge

Incredible guitar

This is my first professional guitar and I can't say enough positives about it. I have played a tricked out rg120 for nearly 10 years and loved every second of it, so I knew when it was time to step into in the big boy ring I wanted Ibanez to be in my corner. Going from an EMG loaded rg the tone quality isn't really much of an improvement, but I wasn't expecting that. I was looking fot quality of life improvements such as tuning stability and ease of play. This has delivered in spades. Anything that I could play before seems to simply come easier on this. I couldn't recommend it enough if you are wanting to make the final guitar purchase you will ever need to make.

Great guitar. Beware of pickups

This is my first ibanez prestige and I am blown away by the craftsmanship. You can really tell the MIJ ibanez are made extremely well and I am very satisfied with everything except for the pickups.. it loses at least 1 star for it

If you get this guitar, plan on getting the pickups replaced. I play through a kemper profiler so I am able to EQ it to sound a bit better. But I noticed the muddy sound of the dimarzio fusion edges as soon as I plugged it in, which resulted in me going down the guitar pickup rabbit hole. Trust me you dont want to go there. But now I know a lot more about guitar pickups then I ever though I would.

Just ordered some SD alpha/omega set to replace the dimarzios. I will edit this review after that.

P.s. the guitar case is really nice

One Baaaad Mamma-jamma

I love it.

Gorgeous instrument. Came almost perfectly set up right out of the case. The neck is incredibly thin, VERY flat radius. The pickups absolutely SLAM and are shielded properly. Every note resonates nicely, and the treble is plentiful. Cleans up very bright and jangly. The bridge feels great. I could not ask for more from a passive-pup metal guitar aside from repositioning the pots.

The ornate Indonesian Premiums that are similarly-appointed have nothing on a Japanese Ibanez. The difference in quality is immediately apparent when you start playing. Japan does not mess around. This guitar is a steal.

Wonderful!

I bought the 7 string version of this guitar. Absolutely rock'n so I had to have the 6 string as well. Great feel, plays wonderfully. The pickups are not my cup of tea. I replaced them with dimarzio d sonic for the bridge and paf master In the neck. Couldn't be happier with the sound and voice of the guitar. I like to improvise alot and this guitar delivers. It's also not a one trick pony. Rock, blues, metal it can do it all. If your a 7 string player, the 7 string version is equally fantastic. Ibanez makes amazing instruments.

Simply amazing

This is my first Japanese made Ibanez prestige and I already want another one, this guitar plays like a light saber through butter. The pickups are a little bright but nothing that tweaking the amp settings can't fix. If you're looking at this guitar get it you won't be disappointed
Music background: Just an at home guitarist
