A Hard-Rocking Axe with Pro-Level Features

The Pro Series Dinky DK2 Ash boasts a lightweight design, Jackson’s trademark high-speed playability, and a bevy of pro-level features. Built from a solid chunk of ash, this solidbody electric guitar produces a musical blend of warmth, brightness, and ear-tickling mids. And when you plug it into a high-gain stack, its Seymour Duncan humbuckers churn out classic hard rock tones by the truckload. If your playing demands speed and precision, you’ll appreciate this Dinky’s graphite-reinforced satin-finished neck — its sculpted shredder’s cut heel and compound-radius fingerboard were built for rapid-fire riffage. Do you dive-bomb? Of course you do! That’s why the Pro Series Dinky DK2 Ash includes a Floyd Rose double-locking trem. Complete with aggressive-looking black hardware, color-coordinated pickup covers, and an eye-catching satin finish, the Jackson Pro Series Dinky DK2 Ash has what it takes to be your #1.

Fast-playing maple neck and compound-radius fingerboard

Jackson crafted the Pro Series Dinky DK2 Ash to be a high-performance solidbody electric with maximum clarity, sustain, and sonic power. Its graphite-reinforced bolt-on maple neck boasts a sculpted shredder’s cut heel for complete access to its upper frets, while a hand-rubbed satin finish supplies maximum low-drag comfort. This Dinky’s fast-playing ebony compound-radius fingerboard features 24 jumbo frets and is the ideal platform for heavy riffing and high-speed soloing. Down low, your fretting hand will appreciate the 12" radius that keeps things nice and comfortable for natural, relaxed chord work. Up top, a 16" radius lays it all out flat for effortless, low-action, lightning-fast runs, and wide string bends without fretting out.

Seymour Duncan humbuckers yield high-octane tones

The Jackson Pro Series Dinky DK2 Ash’s muscle comes from a pair of Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups. In the neck, you’ll find a vintage-voiced ’59 model. This lower-output pickup delivers warm lows and a bell-like top end that works equally well with clean and high-gain tones. The JB humbucker in the bridge position — a favorite of many guitarists here at Sweetwater — is a high-output pickup with a midrange bump that cuts through a lot of distortion and a loud band.

Genuine Floyd Rose locking trem ensures rock-solid tuning stability

A Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo unlocks squeals and dives in the Pro Series Dinky DK2 Ash without the tuning headaches. This system boasts the classic feel of an original Floyd Rose, adding to this Dinky’s immersive, responsive playability. The Pro Series Dinky DK2 Ash endeavors to provide the ultimate shred experience, and it delivers the goods.

Fantastic Guitar

This is my 6th guitar, and my second Jackson. When I was reading over the listing and specs, the Pickup combination definitely was a huge selling point for me. Knowing the quality of my Soloist Pro, the rest of this was an easy choice.
Upon arrival, it came packaged very well as usual from Sweetwater. Once I was able to get it in my hands, I went through the setup and put some new D'Addario NYXL strings. Plugged it in and new immediately this was the guitar I had been looking for. Very nice playing instrument, feels great in my hands, and though I am still a bit of a novice player I know a great guitar and this is one of them. Cosmetically, this thing is stunning, the grain is heavy and give the body a great texture and feel, the fact that each individual guitar is unique is a great bonus when buying one, The raised Jackson badge on the headstock is a nice touch as well.
Music background: experienced, but guitar novice.

Other brands beware. Jackson is on point

Simply put: this guitar plays. I don't have any other way to say it. It knows me. It feels like it encourages me to push myself past my old limits to get the most out of it. I love it. I just love it. I used it to convert a lifelong die hard fan of another brand to a Jackson lover. I won't say who that brand was, but they are going to be missing out on future endorsement deals thanks to this guitar.

Jackson is on fire right now. Other brands have good stuff sure, but I'll put the latest crop of Jackson guitars up against anyone and they'll hold their own in playability, tone, and fun! I'm on to my 4th Jackson in the past year. Have the Sweetwater techs do a basic setup for your personal preference and when it gets to your doorstep, enjoy your new favorite guitar. Oh and for the money, if that is a concern, it punches way above its weight. The amount of guitar you get per dollar is tremendous. Incredible value! Shoutout to my sales engineer Erik Bothwell for investigating the neck style for me and advising me ahead of purchase and for making sure the setup and shipping went smooth.
