A Stunning Jackson with Neck-through Construction for Maximum Sustain!

The Jackson Select Series SL1 Soloist solidbody electric guitar gives you the features you expect from a purpose-built shredding tone-machine — and more! The SL1 Soloist features Jackson's clean lines and highly functional setup, adding impressive touches such as a neck-through-body design for even more sustain, a classy compound radius ebony fingerboard, and a Floyd Rose Original tremolo. In addition to its maple neck and alder body, this axe also features three great-sounding humbucking pickups (two stacked) for monster tone. Get your hands on a SL1 Soloist today!

Neck-through design

This guitar owes its great tone and sustain in great part to something you won't even notice at first glance: a neck-through-body design. The quartersawn hard rock maple neck, paired with an ebony fingerboard (adorned with mother-of-pearl shark fin inlays, no less) doesn't just join the body; it's actually part of the body! This configuration contributes to the sustain of the SL1 in a big way, since the entire guitar is integrated. You also get two great-sounding, high-output Seymour Duncan Classic Stack stacked humbuckers, with a TB4 humbucker in the bridge position. Add cool black hardware and a genuine Floyd Rose Original double-locking trem, and you're ready to rock!

Weapon of choice

From Def Leppard's Phil Collen and Rick Savage to James Root of Slipknot and Stone Sour and Derrick Green of Sepultura (just to name a few), some of the most formidable axe-slingers in rock have used Jackson guitars to generate their fretboard fireworks — for good reason! Jackson guitars are designed from the ground up for monster tone, amazing playability, and rock-solid reliability every time they take the stage or hit the studio. Of course, it doesn't hurt to look good, either; if you're looking for a visually stunning instrument to impress your audience and show that you mean business, you want a Jackson!

Stellar components and construction

What makes Jackson the solidbody electric guitar of choice for so many players? Start with the neck: high-quality hard rock maple with a comfortable, fast carve, it's joined to a premium ebony compound radius fingerboard and optimized for blazing leads and massive chords alike. Jackson guitar bodies are designed with killer tone and eye-catching looks in mind, providing distinctive body shapes while staying lightweight enough to play all night. Jackson uses premium Seymour Duncan pickups for ample output so you can get the most out of your amp. Top-flite hardware is another Jackson hallmark, including highly stable trems and dependable tuning machines.

#1 Superstrat

I retired from gigging 11 years ago and sold lots of my gear. In my past, I was stuck on Gibson Les Pauls (Standards and Customs mostly).
I had 6-7 Gibsons, a few PRS and a few Charvel/Jackson guitars. Once I whittled down my collection I was left with a 1982 LP Custom, a 1991 PRS Custom and a 1993 Jackson Soloist USA.
The Jackson is one of the best guitars I've ever played. Stays in tune through torturing dive bombs (as long as the room temperature doesn't drastically change), sustains for days and sounds incredible! For the most aggressive playing, it's my go-to guitar.
I know mine is an older model but I suspect they are still great guitars.

Do Whatever it takes to buy one !!!!

I own a collection of high end guitars, but im addicted to Jackson USA . By far the easiest guitar to play with the compound radi fret board and the wide nut. Im in LOVE with Jackson USA !!!!!

Best guitar I've ever played

I've played USA Fenders and Gibsons, USA and Japanese ESPs, and everything in between. By far the soloist has the most comfortable neck I've every played. The factory setup was absolutely perfect. If you can afford it, go for it. It's worth it.

Best superstrat ever made

For me this is the perfect guitar. It is a "superstrat" so has a a few things in common with strats, like a 25.5" scale and an alder body. The similarities really end there. It's got its own unique tone. It doesn't sound like other guitar which is why I love it. That said you can get some strat like tones on the middle and neck positions if you play around with the tone and volume.

The sustain is incredible for a Floyd rose guitar, thanks to the neck through design. I love the neck. The compound radius helps make the neck not too thin like Ibanez necks, while still fast at the higher notes.

Awesome guitar

I've played dozens, if not hundreds of different guitars. I always come back to Jacksons for their neck profile. I like the SL1 in particular over the SL2, as it's more versatile. You can roll back the volume a bit on the neck pickup and get a nice bluesy tone. Or crack it up and switch to bridge pickup to shred. The only downside is that changing strings on a floyd rose bridge takes a bit longer.
