Wonderful Solidbody Electric from Yamaha

Get stellar tone, feel, and appointments with the Yamaha PAC612VIIFM Pacifica. This no-nonsense solidbody electric guitar has a lightweight alder body with a laminated flamed maple top, finished in gorgeous gloss polyurethane. Three Seymour Duncan pickups provide a wide array of amazing tones, from warm and rocking to clear and singing. A beautifully smooth maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard is immediately playable and comfortable — great for lead or chords.

Built for tone

The Yamaha PAC612VIIFM Pacifica features a Seymour Duncan TB-14 humbucker in the bridge position, which delivers powerful tones fit for riffing and soloing alike. A Seymour Duncan SP90-1N single-coil in the neck position and a Seymour Duncan SSL-1 in the middle provide wonderful crisp, clear single-coil tone. The 5-position blade, master volume, and master tone with push-pull lets you split the humbucker and dial in all kinds of tonal colorings to fit your style and exploration in sound. Finally, a Wilkinson VS50 bridge provides stellar tonal support as well as a tremolo arm for more creative exploration in style.

Absolutely fantastic!

I have been playing the guitar for 59 years. I am the Frontman (Guitar and vocals)in a Classic Rock cover band. The one I purchased is of the so-called rootbeer color. To me, it is more like a dark burgundy.
This is a very classy and very beautiful instrument. It is extremely well built and feels very solid. The finish is spectacular. It's got Grover locking tuners, Tusq nut and string trees, rosewood fret board, maple neck, alder body, flame maple veneer, Seymour Duncan pickups, Wilkinson trem, headstock finish matches the body. IT STAYS IN TUNE. The Sweetwater guitar experts set it up EXACTLY to my specs.
I receive many compliments from musicians as well as non-musicians on how it looks and how it sounds.
If you're looking for a great electric guitar at a reasonable price, I recommend this one very highly.
One more thing: Sweetwater provides an un-equaled level of service. If the rating system had 10 stars instead of five, I would give it 10 stars.

Excellent guitar. Big value.

For the price, you cannot beat this guitar, period. I purchased this guitar after playing a slightly different version which has the p90s that a friend owns(also a sick guitar). I play a variety of music including blues, metal/southern rock, and more ambient, lo-fi sounding stuff. I've owned my Pacifica for nearly two years, and I'm still very happy with the purchase. There are a lot of tonal options with the HSS pickup configuration as well as the push pull pot. Some folks don't like the Wilkinson tremolo, but I find that it works well for me(note: you can't bend it backwards Dime Bag fans). Locking tuners make stringing quick, and this guitar stays in tune insanely well. I would call this the ultimate beginners guitar, were it not for the fact that anyone would enjoy playing it. It arrived with a good setup, though the volume knob was floating around in the box. This wasn't an issue as screwing it on took about five seconds. Hybrid Slinky strings sound and feel great on this instrument, though I have used Regular Slinkys and NYXLs(.10-.46) also. I have smaller hands also, and the neck feels good to me. For reference, my main instrument is a Gibson LP with a 60s style neck. Hope this helps! Thanks Anthony Longano for making sure I got my hands on one. These guitars are hard to find, so if it's in stock, grab it.

This guitar plays great for any price point...much better than a fender....the p90 and humbucker are a great combination

Got the rootbeer guitar...It stays in tune.. the strat tone is great,and the humbucker is like a turbo charger!!! I own a lot of guitars and this is the new play any style gig guitar for me..

Tone Monster

Players of every level will love this guitar. If you have the chance to try it out, and you"re in the market for a quality instrument priced at half of what it should be, give the the 612 a try. You won"t find anything close to tone, playability and fit/finish in this price range.
